Xbox Now Selling PS5 Games for $80 Joins Switch 2 in Price Increase

Consoles, accessories also go up in cost.

Microsoft has announced it's raising the prices of all its Xbox Series X|S consoles, accessories, and games, effective as of today. Most importantly for PS5 owners, the Xbox games Microsoft ports to Sony's current-gen console will now cost $80 going forward.

Previously ported games, like Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and Forza Horizon 5, won't be affected by the price increase. However, from the "holiday season" onwards, Xbox games will cost $80. With the Game Pass subscription on PS5, that's the price you'll need to pay to play Microsoft's ports. Of course, it was Nintendo that started this trend with next month's Switch 2 launch title Mario Kart World.
