When will Solid Snake be released in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1

Metal Gear’s Solid Snake is a mid-season battle pass skin

Solid Snake, star of the Metal Gear series and haver of one controversially nerfed ass, is a special battle pass skin in Fortnite’s Chapter 5 Season 1.

This skin is exclusive to the Chapter 5 Season 1 battle pass, though, and won’t be available in Fortnite until the mid-season update. Here’s when it arrives, and what to expect.

According to the in-game countdown, the Solid Snake skin is scheduled to release 50 days after the rollout of Chapter 5 Season 1 — meaning it has a release date of Jan. 23, 2024.

Note, however, that the release date for mid-season battle pass skins sometimes changes based on patches, so the Solid Snake skin could come to Fortnite a few days before or after Jan. 23, 2024.

Once the Solid Snake skin becomes available in Fortnite, you’ll be able to unlock it until the season ends at 2:00 a.m. ET on March 8, 2024. As of this writing, it’s unclear what the requirements are for unlocking Solid Snake in the battle pass.

According to Fortnite content creator iFireMonkey, Solid Snake will also come with additional styles and cosmetics. Though developer Epic Games has not publicly unveiled the array of cosmetic options for Solid Snake, you get sneak peak via iFireMonkey’s post on Twitter / X:

Solid Snake’s cosmetic options include a combat knife, tactical drones, and his trademark night vision goggles. There’s also an Old Snake style (with eyepatch, naturally). It’s unclear as of yet what the requirements for these cosmetic options will be.
