The First Descendant Draws a Massive 10 Million Players in First Week

Free-to-play shooter The First Descendant has drawn massive crowds in its first week live, with publisher Nexon pronouncing that some 10 million players have already checked out the game.
Noted by Insider Gaming, with no upfront cost, it remains to be seen how many of those players will stick around, but it's still an impressive number from a new IP. On Steam alone, it peaked at 264,860 concurrents right after launch and still managed to crack 200,000 in the last 24 hours, so it seems there is still a sizable contingent of players glued to the game.
