The 6Year JoyCon Fiasco Has Tarnished Nintendos Reputation
There's no denying that the utility of the Switch is a tremendous asset, particularly its portability. A big part of that are the Joyconscontrollers that are both part of the console, as well as detachable pieces with motion control capability. But said Joycons have had a controversial underbelly since the console's launch. You may have heard that Nintendo is now offering free joycon repairs in Europe for the issue of 'joycon drift', wherein the joycon's analogue sticks move without any input from the player. Whilst the expansion of these free repairs sounds good, looking deeper into the issue we see that this gesture is rendered far smaller in proportion to how slow Nintendo has been to act on it.
