TGS: Konami Announcing New Game from a WorldLoved Series at TGS
But don't expect MGS or Silent Hill.
Konami plans to reveal a new entry in a "world-loved series" at next month's Tokyo Games Show. The announcement will take place on 16th September 2022 during a 45-minute panel, where Japanese voice actor Yuki Kaji will be invited on stage to "represent fans".
Confirmation of a new Konami may see people immediately jump to the rumours of Metal Gear Solid and Silent Hill remakes and new instalments, but it's best to temper expectations for the show in question. Announcements of that magnitude are traditionally reserved for showcases hosted by platform holders rather than a livestream buried in amongst many other tapings Konami has planned for TGS. More realistic possibilities for the mystery title could include a new Bomber Man or Yu-Gi-Oh!
