SEGA Isnt Surprised That Companies Want to Acquire It

SEGA is a company that comes up all the time when PlayStation and Xbox fans try and fantasy book the gaming firms they want their console of choice to purchase, but the Japanese company has gone on record to say it's not interested in an acquisition. It can understand why it's being targeted, though, as a new interview with CNBC reveals Shuji Utsumi, the chief operating officer, reckons there's a lot going its way.
When asked about any interest from Microsoft in a potential buyout, Utsumi said: "Many companies are interested. We feel honored. We have attractive IPs and potentials. Companies owned by the owner. A strong owner. I don’t think that kind of transaction is going to happen." The last point builds on an Utsumi quote from earlier this year where he simply said "no, not now" in response to questions surrounding a Microsoft acquisition.
