PS5 Pro Still Likely to Launch This Year Tokyo Game Show Reveal Possible

Update: An innocuous tweet from gaming tipster Tom Henderson appears to have been taken out of context, as the writer has provided an update on the PS5 Pro, based on his knowledge. According to Insider Gaming, devs will be required to support Sony’s supercharged system from 15th September, and while this doesn’t mean a release date will immediately follow, it certainly suggests the hardware will be available in time for the holidays.
Henderson doesn’t know a date, but previous privately obtained documentation alluded to a November 2024 target. The scribe goes on to hypothesise that PlayStation’s sudden appearance at the Tokyo Game Show – after years of overlooking major conventions – suggests it may reveal the system on home soil, as part of this year’s show.
