Microsoft Says Minecraft Isnt Getting A Native Xbox Series XS Version For Now
Don't expect next-gen Minecraft "in the near future".
Right, so, yesterday we reported on a brand new ESRB rating for Minecraft on Xbox Series X|S - we thought a 'next-gen' version of the title could have been imminent following such a rating. Well, apparently not! Microsoft has today come out and shut down any speculation on a new version of Minecraft.
The Xbox owner has provided a statement to Eurogamer that effectively squashes any chances of Minecraft on Xbox Series X|S, at least for the time being. Here's what Microsoft had to say on the matter:
