Gamescom: Obsidian Says Avowed Is Running Really Really Well On Xbox Series X Despite 30FPS Target
Series S is still being figured out.
During Gamescom 2024, Xbox developer Obsidian Entertainment revealed that its upcoming RPG Avowed will run at 30FPS on console, and despite this lower frame rate target, the team claims that the game is running "really, really well" on Xbox Series X right now.
As part of a preview over at Windows Central, Obsidian's Matt Hansen spoke to the site about Avowed, and how it's shaping up from a technical perspective - roughly six months out from launch. Here's what Hansen had to say:
