GEX Brings Three Retro Games To Xbox This Summer Heres A Look

3D platformers were once at the forefront of the gaming industry, and while we've had the odd resurgence like PlayStation's Astro Bot last year, many other mascots have been long-forgotten. Sometimes there are revivals though, and it seems the anthropomorphic gecko Gex will be making a return later this year in the GEX Trilogy.
Limited Run Games previously announced it was reviving the Crystal Dynamics series, and now in an update, it's locked in a Summer 2025 release window for all platforms including the Xbox Series X|S. This collection is powered by the Carbon Engine and includes the original 2D platformer GEX along with the two 3D sequels GEX: Enter the Gecko and GEX 3: Deep Cover Gecko.
