E3: Sony Is Developing PS5 Wireless Earbuds Report

Sony could be expanding on its line of audio hardware, as a report claims that the PS5 manufacturer is working on new earbuds and wireless headsets.

According to Insider Gaming, Project Nomad is a set of earbuds that will offer up to five hours of battery life, comes with its own charging case, and can be recharged via USB-C when plugged into the PS5 console. It's worth noting that Sony already offers several lines of earbuds, some of which contain noise-canceling technology similar to the bigger headsets sold by the company.

Sony's other headset, which reportedly has the codename Voyager, is said to offer similar functionality to the Inzone H7 headset. It's claimed that both headsets could launch by the end of Sony's 2023 financial year, which runs from April 2023 to March 2024. A new State of Play event is rumored to be scheduled for next month, which would be an ideal platform to reveal the existence of these new headsets.
