E3: Mark Strong Got Drunk With Daniel Craig And Botched His 007 Villain Audition
Actor Mark Strong auditioned to play a James Bond villain years ago, but his tryout didn't go so well because he got hammered the night before with Daniel Craig.
Strong recalled this story in an appearance on Sky One's There's Something About Movies as part of his promotional tour for Cruella. He said he auditioned to play a Bond baddie in the Pierce Brosnan era--though he didn't name the movie specifically. After learning his lines, he went out for a drink to celebrate. He ended up having too much and flubbed his audition the next day.
"I overdid it and the next day I was severely hungover," he said (via Express).
