E3: E3 2019: Two More Resident Evil Games Are Coming To Nintendo Switch

Nintendo has had a fairly busy E3 2019 Direct, the company's version of an E3 press conference. Among the many announcements that Nintendo made, the company revealed two more Resident Evil games are coming to Switch this fall.

The two ports are for Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6. Neither game is bad, but the majority of the Resident Evil fanbase considers both titles to be inferior to cult classic Resident Evil 4. Both games are a bit more action-focused in comparison to their more survival horror predecessors.

In our Resident Evil 5 review, Lark Anderson wrote, "Having a partner introduces new degrees of gameplay depth and dramatic tension that make the game that much more exciting to play. Though the slow, deliberate movement and shooting may not appeal to everyone, this new sequel’s frequent large-scale battles and co-op play still offer a fun and exciting adventure."

In our Resident Evil 6 review, Kevin VanOrd wrote, "Series faithful might stumble through for the sake of story, and perhaps to appreciate those few moments that recall when Resident Evil was at its peak glory. But this long, poor sequel is the ultimate test of patience for even the most dedicated."
