E3: E3 2019: Gears 5 Gets New Details And Story Trailer
Microsoft's E3 press conference kicked off with a bang, and we finally got more details for the upcoming Gears 5. The Coalition's Rod Fergusson also appeared on stage to announce that it will release on September 10. You can also play four days early if you're a Game Pass Ultimate member.
In July, the studio will launch a versus multiplayer test that includes a new competitive game type called Arcade. On August 19, you can test Horde Mode. But today the focus was on the new Escape Mode. A squad of Gears was shown infiltrating a ship and fighting their way through hostile forces. Fergusson described it as a 3-player co-op experience with couch co-op. Some Microsoft stores are hosting a demo of Escape mode over the next few days.
Those who pre-order or play Gears 5 by September 16 will get a Terminator: Dark Fate character.
