E3: E3 2019: Dragon Ball Z Kakarot Gameplay Trailer Shows The New RPG In Action

Microsoft is continuing to build its anime repertoire and revealed the next game from the Dragon Ball universe during its Xbox E3 2019 press conference. The game is called Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, formerly known as Dragon Ball Project Z, and it's a third-person action RPG.

During the gameplay trailer, we saw familiar faces like Goku, Vegeta, Freiza, and Nappa. There was also a big boss battle with Goku going super saiyan in a huge fight against Frieza, who was laying waste to the planet. The franchise's original artist Akira Toriyama is also involved in the game, who had a note just before the trailer played:

"This game brings the DRAGON BALL universe to life, and I'm sure fans will truly be able to take a deep dive into the world. I hope you enjoy the game."

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is said to launch sometime in early 2020 and it's coming Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. The game is being developed by CyberConnect2 and published by Bandai Namco.
