It's apparently been a really strong year for Koei Tecmo, as the Japanese publisher's latest financial results reveal record profits.

By and large, it sounds like the company's self-published video games have played a huge part in boosting the numbers. While sales were actually down 1.7% year-on-year, the strength of Koei Tecmo's own releases pushed profit and income to new heights.
