Dune Awakening Scorches in Stunning PS5 Survival Gameplay
The Spice Melange.
The Spice is undoubtedly in the air, with Part Two of Dennis Villeneuve's Dune film adaptation of Brian Herbert's epic sci-fi series now in theatres. Striking while the iron is hot, we also got a stunning gameplay trailer from Funcom for the upcoming survival MMO Dune: Awakening, which was revealed in August 2022 and prophesied to come to PS5 someday.
We see players engaging in incredibly Dune-like activities, speeding across endless deserts, evading sandworms, constructing bases and outposts, and struggling to survive in one of the harshest environments imaginable. That's a pretty compelling pitch for a survival game, but add to that the magic of the setting, and Funcom has a recipe for success with Dune: Awakening, provided they can deliver. Still no word on a release date or even window, but in the meantime, feast your eyes on the screenshots below:
