Cyperpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty Boasts Impressive Attach Rate Deemed Commercial Hit

Phantom Liberty closed the Cyberpunk 2077 feedback loop, earning back some of the goodwill lost due to the chaotic launch of the base game with a compelling expansion. It sold exceptionally well (five million copies in 2023), and developer CD Projekt Red considers the DLC offering a bonfide commercial hit.
Speaking to IGN, CDPR confirmed an impressive attach rate of approximately 23%, meaning almost one out of every four players who bought the base game went on to purchase Phantom Liberty. Co-CEO Michał Nowakowsk noted on Twitter that that's one percentage point more than The Witcher 3's Hearts of Stone (22%) and one point less than Blood and Wine (24%), widely considered one of the best post-launch offerings, a single-player game has ever received.
