Here’s a crazy crossover event that we didn’t expect to see today: a recap of Remedy’s cult horror Alan Wake is available now in Fortnite. Yes, you read that correctly: Alan Wake Flashback is an interactive experience made using the Unreal Editor which will allow fans to familiarise themselves with the fiction of the first game – or just enjoy a recap before the sequel releases, on 27th October.
The press release teases: “Troubled author Alan Wake embarks on a desperate search for his missing wife, Alice. Following her mysterious disappearance from the Pacific Northwest town of Bright Falls, he discovers pages of a horror story he has supposedly written, but has no memory of.” The experience will be accessible directly from Fortnite’s Discovery page, or you can access it manually by entering its Island Code: 3426-5561-3374.
