CD Projekt Red Dabbling in AI Considering Multiplayer for Cyberpunk 2

Having closed the book on Cyberpunk 2077 with the release of the Phantom Liberty expansion, Warsaw-based developer CD Projekt Red is looking towards the future. In addition to the next Witcher game, a Cyberpunk sequel (which we hope is called 2078) is officially underway, and, appropriately, the company has established a team to look into how AI can aid development. More exciting is the prospect of the potential inclusion of multiplayer, something which is currently being considered.

Speaking to Reuters, CDPR CEO Adam Badowski explained that the company is currently bulking up in order to meet the manpower demands of its in-development projects. Polaris, as the next title in The Witcher series is known internally, is in full development and the company's main focus, and Badowski said: "We'd like to have around 400 people working on the project by the middle of the year."
