BioShock Developer Ramping Up for Next Entry in Series
A decade on from BioShock Infinite.
Cloud Chamber, the studio tasked with continuing the legendary BioShock series, is now "ramping up", with over 30 positions open at the 2K developer. Work on a BioShock successor has been shunted about for over a decade now, stopping and starting work at multiple development studios.
On LinkedIn, senior cinematic designer Jeff Spoonhower called interested developers, highlighting the many available open positions (thanks, Eurogamer). Cloud Chamber is based in Montreal, Canada, but is open to remote workers. Eurogamer notes that many roles include animation, cinematics, engineering, and narrative, suggesting that the game is still quite a ways out. We find this revelation quite surprising; 2K announced the formation of Cloud Chamber almost five years ago, and we were expecting to see it in the not-too-distant future.
