Baldurs Gate 3 Update 5 May Require a Massive ReDownload

We're still waiting on the full patch notes for Baldur's Gate 3 Update 5 (they're expected to drop at some point today), but Larian Studios has at least let players know that it's going to be big in terms of file size. The developer says that Update 5 is "roughly 30GB" — hefty by itself — but the thing is, you'll need around 130GB of free storage space to actually install it.
Presumably, this is because the patch will be replacing a lot of the game's existing data, and so the full install size must be made available. As such, you might be better off simply deleting Baldur's Gate 3 from your PS5 and then re-download it, Update 5 and all. A bit of a hassle — especially if you're working with slower internet speeds — but that's the price of modern gaming, we suppose.
