Assassins Creed Shadows Smaller Open World Map Is Still a Healthy Chunk of Japan

It's been said for a while now that Assassin's Creed Shadows will have a smaller open world map than its immediate 'RPG' predecessors, Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Word on the street is that it'll be more comparable to the map from Assassin's Creed Origins, which was still big, but perhaps wasn't quite as overwhelming as the worlds that would follow.
What's more, Ubisoft has confirmed that Shadows will boast a seasonal system, in which locations can change based on the time of year. And with that in mind, a smaller map starts to make a lot of sense.
