Assassins Creed Remakes Are on the Way Ubisoft Confirms

Aiming for franchise variety.

Ubisoft has announced it has multiple remakes of past Assassin's Creed games in the works, which will help boost the franchise's release schedule and allow "Assassin's Creed games come out more regularly". The news came from a new interview with CEO Yves Guillemot, who in response to a question about the future of the series, explained: "Firstly, players can be excited about some remakes, which will allow us to revisit some of the games we've created in the past and modernize them; there are worlds in some of our older Assassin's Creed games that are still extremely rich."

Previous entries in the Assassin's Creed franchise have received somewhat basic remasters — like Assassin's Creed II, Brotherhood, and Revelations in The Ezio Collection — but none have received a complete overhaul in the form of a remake that goes the extra step.
