Major virtual reality releases from huge publishers like Ubisoft are rare, but Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR looks like a title worth watching – unfortunately, it’s currently a Meta Quest exclusive, with no plans for PSVR2 yet. While we’d expect it to end up on Sony’s headset eventually, this overview trailer reveals exactly what PS5 players will be missing out on.
Narratively the game sounds a bit complicated: it’s effectively repurposing assets from Assassin’s Creed 2, Assassin’s Creed 3, and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. This means you’ll play as three different protagonists: Ezio, Connor, and Kassandra – all with slightly different abilities and move sets, as is accurate to the characters and their original releases.
