Activision Tasks New AAA Studio with Crafting NarrativeBased Series

Timing is everything.

Activision has reportedly opened a new studio, tasking the nascent, Warsaw-based Elsewhere Entertainment with developing a "narrative-based and genre-defining AAA franchise." The huge entity underwent a massive wave of layoffs following the closure of Microsoft's Activision Blizzard King acquisition earlier this year.

As reported by IGN, Activision announced the news in a blog post, revealing that the team will be headquartered in Poland, with additional resources in the U.S. Built from the ground up, studio staff includes talent with experience working on The Last of Us, Uncharted, The Witcher, Destiny, Far Cry, and Tom Clancy's The Division.
