A Fake GTA 6 Age Rating Had Fans Salivating Over a PS5 Release Date
But it's not real.
The wait for an official update on GTA 6’s release date goes on, as fans thought they may have stumbled upon some top-secret information earlier this month. PCGamesN discovered an age rating for the hotly anticipated open world game on the Australian Classifications Board’s website, but it’s since learned that this wasn’t submitted by developer Rockstar and is bogus.
This means that, while development on the open worlder continues in earnest, the label isn’t yet at the stage where it’s getting the game classified around the world – usually one of the last steps before an official release date is announced. We know that parent company Take-Two is expecting a launch between April 2024 and March 2025, but plans could of course change.
